A provider who takes the time to listen.

I’m Tyler, a Family Nurse Practitioner who takes the time to understand the whole story.

My Story

Why I was drawn to functional medicine.

My path to functional medicine began long before I knew to call it that. My early education in nutrition and exercise science gave me an appreciation for how deeply our everyday choices, what we eat, how we move, how we sleep, and how we care for our bodies, can influence the way we feel. That foundation stayed with me as I went on to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, but it was my own health story that ultimately brought all of those pieces together.

I went through a season when I simply didn’t feel like myself. I was struggling with anxiety, hormonal changes, gut and skin issues, and an overwhelming sense that something was off, yet I was often reassured that everything looked “normal.”

I knew there had to be more to the story.

That experience changed the way I thought about health. A functional approach helped me understand my body, restore balance, and gave me tools to carry through every season of life.

It also changed the questions I began asking in my own practice: What’s underneath these symptoms? What factors may be contributing? What would it look like to care for the whole person, not just the diagnosis?

That curiosity drew me to functional and integrative medicine, and it continues to shape how I care for others today. Meaningful care begins by listening well and making space for the whole story.

Feeling well allows us to show up more fully for the people and purposes that matter most.

Beyond the Bio

A little more about me.

When I’m not learning about functional medicine or talking all things health, you can usually find me spending time with my husband, baby boy or friends, getting outside for a walk or run, tending to our garden and backyard chickens, trying a new restaurant, planning our next trip, or lingering over a really good cup of coffee.

I believe some of the best parts of wellness happen outside the walls of a clinic, in the everyday rhythms, relationships, meals, movement, rest, and things that bring us joy. I see wellness through my faith in Jesus, who reminds us that the body is a temple, meant to be tended with care, not just treated when something breaks.
